Arunachal Labour Link Mobile App

Arunachal Labour Link is an initiative of the Department of Labour & Employment, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, connecting Workers seeking employment with Employers seeking labour. This section of the Privacy Policy explains what information is collected from Workers and Employers using this app, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. Information We Collect from Workers

• Full name, gender, mobile number, and residential address
• Applicant category (APST / Non-APST) and home district
• Worker skill / job category (e.g. Agriculture, Construction, Carpentry, Electrician, etc.)
• App login password and 5-digit App Pin, both required to sign in
• Job applications you submit, including your expected wage, and the resulting status (Applied, Selected, Confirmed, Rejected, Cancelled)

2. Information We Collect from Employers

• Full name, gender, mobile number, and residential address
• Applicant category (APST / Non-APST) and home district
• App login password and 5-digit App Pin, both required to sign in
• Job postings you create, including job title, description, wage range, worker category, number of workers required, duration, and job location
• Actions you take on job postings and worker applications, such as selecting, confirming, or cancelling a job

3. How Your Password Is Protected

• Your password is never sent to our servers as plain text. It is combined with a secret value and cryptographically hashed on your device before transmission, and the same process is used to verify it at login.
• We do not display or transmit your password or App Pin in plain text anywhere in the app.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your Worker or Employer account
• To match Workers with relevant job postings based on district, skill category, and wage expectations
• To let Employers review, select, and manage applicants for jobs they have posted
• To show you a dashboard summary of your own job activity (jobs posted, applied, selected, confirmed, rejected, or cancelled)
• To contact you regarding your account, an application, or a job posting

5. Sharing of Information

• When a Worker is confirmed for a job, the Employer's name and mobile number are shared with that Worker, and the Worker's relevant details are shared with the Employer, solely to coordinate the job.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing purposes.
• Information may be disclosed where required by law or by a competent Government authority.

6. Data Retention

• Your profile and job history are retained for as long as your account remains active, so that you can view your past applications, postings, and job outcomes.
• You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting the Department using the details below.

7. Your Rights

• You can review and update your profile details, password, and App Pin at any time from the My Profile section of the app.
• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by us.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the app or applicable law. Continued use of Arunachal Labour Link after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
